Residents of Inglewood will see Jay-Z perform live at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show next February. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the booking on Monday for the game scheduled on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium.

The performance marks Jay-Z's first appearance in a Super Bowl halftime slot. He is a 25-time Grammy winner who has not previously headlined the event despite his long ties to the league and past performers.

His production company, Roc Nation, has organized the halftime shows since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension that will keep it in charge of the production through 2029. Under Roc Nation's direction, these shows have featured more hip-hop and rap acts compared to previous years.

SoFi Stadium has hosted major halftime performances before. In 2022, the venue saw Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar perform together with cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. More recent halftimes included Rihanna in 2023, Usher in 2024, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025.

Jay-Z is currently on a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It included two shows in London and one in Paris in September.

The tour concluded with final shows at SoFi Stadium on October 23 and 24. These recent performances at the same venue where he will play next year serve as a direct preparation for the February show.
